Volume 1
Day 1
Picked up the journal right when I came to Palo Town, to document my day to day experiences, it seems odd after what happened to Player, I figure it's better I keep a log incase I somehow develop amnesia too. Although I've been through far less experimentation, I just don't want to take any chances. This also serves as further proof against those accursed human trash that experimented on us. I miss Tucker. I miss my family. I'm tired of losing people.
Day 2
No leads.
Day 3
Visited Tucker again. I still can't believe he's gone. He always knew what to do and was borderline genius with his plans, I still can't believe we managed to escape... It makes me miss him all the more. I hope Player is doing well, we used to be good friends before the amnesia. At least they're more talkative now, and hopefully happier...
Day 4
Returned to Palo, still no leads.
Day 5
None today.
Day 6
I should stop coming here so frequently, I'll get distracted and lose sight of what I need to do, for everyone else stuck like we were. It's just so hard
Day 7
Spotted a ship in the distance with some hooded figures making their way below deck, and noticed a strange symbol that I remember seeing somewhere else... I'll follow close behind but out of sight, hope I get lucky.
Day 8
Followed the ship until I saw it dock at Fort Talos. Not good. I wont be able to enter that place unless I come up with some kind of plan, but I really want to get a better look at that symbol I saw...
Day 9
Rented a room at Sailor's lodge, and have no idea where to go from here.
Day 14
Too much has happened and I had no time to update. I met Player at Sailor's Lodge and they revealed so much I hadn't know before. Apparently that group I'd been following is called the Order of Aesir, and that they captured some person named Beringer who knew the location of a powerful curse... Makes sense, but it still makes my skin crawl thinking of what they might use that power for. I shouldn't be surprised... Anyways... We both snuck into Fort Talos after agreeing that whatever was going on needed to be solved immediately, I just couldn't do it alone. We found the prisoner that Player had mentioned and he was bad, real bad. He managed to tell me the location of that powerful curse, which he called the "Death Curse" and gave me directions that lead east of the Pelion Rift. I'm sailing there now, but I need to hurry in order to make it there before the Order does... Man, I'm way over my head. I don't know why he chose me to tell... Maybe he was just short on time? I don't feel deserving... He said he saw something in me. I hope he's right. All I know is that the Order can't be allowed to get that power.
Day 15
The weather is monstrous. I must be in the Dark Sea. This is bad... if the weather damages my ship to the point I can't make it to the Curse, then I don't even need to get into detail of what will happen to us and hundreds, maybe thousands of others. Not to mention how difficult it is to navigate with a compass that just spins in this evil sea, or the fact that I saw something very, VERY, big below the ship...
Day 17
I found it. The area around it reeked of dead fish and... death. It's an odd smell, and its something that I found chilling to my bones. The water around it was as still as glass, almost like you could see to the very bottom of the ocean if you wanted. Then I saw it, hovering a couple feet above the water surrounded in this black ichor aura that made all my hair stand on end. I've never felt fear like this, it's like a base instinct of the fear of death, and it was in front of me like a grim reaper. I stopped shivering and quickly took it because I saw sails on the horizon and no one here would be friendly. I felt this darkness just rush through my body and you'd think it would be painful, but it wasn't. It was cold. Calm. But also absolute. I'm terrified of this. What have I become? I never want to lose myself to this, I have too much at stake. I will make things right.
Day 19
Arrived at Ravenna where I said I'd meet Player, no sight of them anywhere, They'd better not be in trouble... again. Player is missing, I've scoured every inn, tavern, alley and cave and I haven't spotted them. This is concerning. They'd better be alive.
Day 21
Met a couple of people who were looking for Player too, I guess they met them on their journey? The white haired guy named Neviro barely says anything but while his red colored eyes are cool, it's like they see right through me... The red haired girl named Iris makes up for the emotion that Neviro lacks, she's like a ball of fire or a ticking bomb... She's already threatened three people already with her magic. Where did Player find these two?
Day 22
I was able to get to know both of them better and I see why Player took a liking to them, they're extremely capable, and they've been sneaking round and eavesdropping on every patrol squad they can find. Apparently there was a newly captured prisoner who was captured by Ravenna's General Julian, and they were taken away in critical condition, which we can only assume is Player. I have a score to settle with Julian, he almost killed my last friend...
Day 23
Going dark temporarily to prepare for the rescue mission, we need better gear, a proper plan, and a map of whatever this Eternal Mines is. We're coming to help you Player, just hold on, you've been through worse. Update when able.
